About Our Sand Sculpture Artists

MEET OUR SCULPTORS from ARCHISAND: "AKA" THE SAND TEAM

Greg got the sand sculpture bug back in the early 1980’s. He captained teams that won the Canon Beach Sand Castle Competition in Oregon and the World Championships in White Rock,BC. Greg officially started the Archisand team in 1989. The team won 7 US Open Sand Castle Masters Championships during the 1990’s and 2000’s.

Archisand now focuses its efforts on professional commissions for some of the worlds largest companies. Archisand team mates have helped 1,000’s of people learn the skills of sand castle building during the countless number of team building activities and workshop for parties.

Kathy LeBon Joined the fun in 1999 and has been an instrumental part of Archisand’s success. Helping in so many ways, both on and off the beach. Archisand is family based, our son Alex LeBon and our Daughter Pam Schleissner have helped extensively since they were small children. Both help when they can to this day.

So many people have helped Archisand over the years. The list would quite long. The key team members who helped include, Ko Tanaka and his entire family, Joon Park, Ed Nagy, Henry Nagy, and Donnie Dewees.

We are always looking for creative, problem solving team mates, so practice and one day you may be able to join and call your self a professional sandcastle builder.

What happens if it rains or the weather doesn’t cooperate?

 For outdoor events, we’ll help plan a weather backup. Many clients choose indoor venues (conference centers, hotel ballrooms, even corporate offices) so the event can go forward rain or shine.

What type of sand is used and where does it come from?

We can accommodate teams of any size by splitting participants into groups of 5–10. We have enough equipment for at least 60 participants at once, and larger groups can be accommodated upon request.

How long do your Team Building Activities Last ?

 A typical event runs about 2–3 hours, depending on the number of teams and whether you add extras like a logo sculpture or extended judging/celebration time.

Do we need to provide anything?

No — we bring all the sand, tools, and equipment. For indoor events, we bring in the sand and set up safely in your space. At the end, we provide complete cleanup so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

How is pricing structured?

 Each activation is a custom bid, based on location, number of participants, optional logo add-ons, and overall size. This ensures you get a package tailored to your event and goals.

Can we include for our Team Building the event?

 Yes! About 50–60% of clients choose to have us arrive early to sculpt a professional sand version of their company logo. This serves as a powerful centerpiece, photo opportunity, and branded keepsake for the event.
